Most of the Mexican state of Chihuahua is in the Central Standard Time (CST) zone—and there is no switch to daylight saving time. However, there are two exceptions:

In November 2022, at the request of the state of Chihuahua, the municipalities near the state’s northwestern border were switched to standard time UTC−07:00 (Mountain Standard Time, MST) and daylight saving time UTC−06:00 (Mountain Daylight Time, MDT), thereby aligning the time in Juárez with that in neighboring El Paso. The municipalities near the northeastern border were switched to standard time UTC−06:00 (Central Standard Time, CST) and daylight saving time UTC−05:00 (Central Daylight Time, CDT), thereby aligning the time in Ojinaga with that of neighboring Presidio, Texas.
