Daylight Saving Time in Mexico
During the summer months, some parts of Mexico switch to daylight saving time. Daylight saving time was actually abolished in 2022. However, the annual switch to daylight saving time continues in the northern border regions—with the exception of the state of Sonora. This is intended to reduce friction in border traffic with U.S. cities and municipalities that observe daylight saving time.
