Information about Skåne County

Skåne County (the province of Skåne, or simply Skåne) is Sweden’s southernmost county. It was formed in 1997 through the merger of Malmöhus County and Kristianstad County. Skåne County encompasses the historical province of Skåne (which is slightly smaller) as well as a small part of the historical province of Halland.
