The Hovedstaden Region (English: The Capital Region) is one of Denmark’s five regions. It encompasses the northeastern part of Sjælland (Zealand), including the capital, Copenhagen, as well as the island of Bornholm. The administrative seat of the Hovedstaden Region is Hillerød.
